Newcastle United winger Alex Gilliead is said to be a wanted man by Sunderland.
Bradford City fans do not appear too concerned that Newcastle United could look to rehouse Alex Gilliead in the January transfer window.
The Chronicle report that Sunderland are among the clubs interest in the Newcastle prospect.
And while some Bradford fans are hoping that Gilliead stays, most have suggested that a move to Sunderland would not be good for his development, as he isn’t ready to play in the Championship yet.
Gilliead left Newcastle on loan at the start of the season, and he has gone on to play an important role at Valley Parade.
The 21-year-old has racked up appearances for Bradford, and has now featured 18 times in League One.
Gilliead may have some progressing to do before he is ready to make the grade at Newcastle though.
Rafael Benitez’s side have plenty of options out wide, and Gilliead faces a big battle if he is to become a permanent starter at St. James’ Park.
Gilliead’s next chance to impress for Bradford is likely to come at the weekend, when Bradford take on Plymouth Argyle.
