Tottenham striker faces a spell on the sidelines.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is desperately hoping for good news over his ankle injury.
Kane was substituted in the first half of Tottenham’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth.
One set of fans with zero sympathy for Kane’s injury are Newcastle United supporters.
This is because Kane injured Newcastle defender Florian Lejeune on the first day of the Premier League season, causing the new signing to sit on the sidelines for several weeks.

Lejeune subsequently hit out at Kane for failing to apologise.
He told The Independent in November, three months after the injury: “At first, I was angry. We all make mistakes, we all commit fouls but I think an apology would have been good, especially from such a great player, the England captain, but I have never received one.”

Now Kane is out, and his injury is not the fault of any player, coming in an innocuous collision with goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as opposed to a bad tackle.
England’s long-shot World Cup chances may hinge on Harry Kane being fit for this June’s tournament.
But there is little sympathy on Tyneside for his plight.
Here is a look at how Newcastle fans reacted to his injury.
