Newcastle United were beaten 3-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup yesterday.
Newcastle United’s Kenedy and Chancel Mbemba have both ‘liked’ Michy Batshuayi’s Instagram post about him skinning Henri Saivet in the two side’s FA Cup tie yesterday.
Batshuayi scored twice as Chelsea got past Newcastle at Stamford Bridge to progress to the next round of the competition.
The Belgian forward also completely bamboozled Saivet at one stage during the contest, and he was quick to post a video of the skill on social media.
Newcastle’s players showed little sympathy for their teammate though, as both Kenedy and Mbemba ‘liked’ the post.
Kenedy, of course, used to be teammates with Batshuayi at Chelsea, but having just signed for Newcastle it may not have been the smartest move to make.
Mbemba’s decision to like it, however, has not gone down well – with both players criticised on Twitter.
Newcastle simply couldn’t get into the tie at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea strolled to a 3-0 success.
The Magpies looked blunt up front throughout the fixture, and crashed out in meek circumstances.
Newcastle are now free to concentrate on their league campaign, as they look to stay in the Premier League.
