Newcastle United midfielder Mikel Merino was in woeful form as Rafael Benitez’s side beat Leicester City.

Newcastle United fans are becoming concerned by Mikel Merino’s performances, since he signed a permanent contract at St. James’ Park.
Merino made a wonderful start to life at Newcastle, after signing on loan from Borussia Dortmund, and Rafael Benitez’s side wasted no time tying the central midfielder to a permanent deal, in an £8 million transfer (Telegraph).

However, more recently, the Spanish midfielder has struggled to show his best.
Merino was at fault for one of the goals which Newcastle conceded in their 3-2 defeat against Leicester City at the weekend.
And Magpies supporters are concerned by the form of Merino in recent weeks.
Newcastle need Merino to get back to his best, as they have been in poor form of late.
The Magpies have failed to win any of their last seven matches, in what has been a concerning run of results.
Newcastle are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Everton.
