Table toppers Newcastle United face in form Leeds United in a fortnight.

Newcastle United are flying high at the top of the Championship table and backing up their tag as division favourites.

They have won eight of their last 10 matches, and recorded a hard fought 2-1 win over Cardiff City at the weekend.

After the international break Rafa Benitez’s side face another in form team, Leeds United, who are up to sixth in the table.

The Whites beat a struggling Norwich City 3-2 at the weekend, and have home advantage for the clash with Newcastle on November 20.

Leeds have won seven of their last 10 matches, and have turned their form around after a shaky start under head coach Garry Monk.

The match at Elland Road will be a sell out, the first of the season at Elland Road.

Despite their rampant form, Newcastle supporters are cautious about the next fixture. While there is belief in their own team, there is acknowledgement that Leeds United’s form will make it tricky to get a result.

Here is a look at what Newcastle fans have been saying on social media over the weekend…

Newcastle and Leeds have not met in the league since 2004, which makes the upcoming clash even more keenly anticipated.

It is just a shame the unwelcome international break means this is a fixture we have to wait an extra week to get to.
