Newcastle United fans are slamming Javier Manquillo on Twitter.

Some Newcastle United fans are blasting Javier Manquillo on Twitter.
The Spanish right-back endured a difficult game in Newcastle’s 0-0 draw away to Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
Manquillo, who joined from Atletico Madrid for £4.5 million last summer, struggled majorly with Josh Murphy’s speed, before being substituted at half-time with an apparent injury.
The 24-year-old, who has also had a stint with Sunderland, has never been a hugely popular figure among Newcastle fans.
And it looks like his stock has taken a hammering after his latest performance:
The Spaniard’s injury seemed something of a blessing in disguise, such was the success that Murphy – twin brother of Newcastle man Jacob – was having against him.
But Isaac Hayden, the man who replaced Manquillo at the break, wound up getting himself sent off in a development which undoubtedly hindered the Magpies’ pursuit of the three points.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Rafa Benitez’s side could have stolen it at the death after winning a penalty, but Kenedy rounded off a disastrous overall performance by missing it.
