Tottenham Hotspur have kept Heung-Min Son, while Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United side have been without Ki Sung-Yeung.

Newcastle United fans have been left outraged by the fact Heung-Min Son is still playing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Newcastle lost Ki Sung-Yeung two weeks ago to international duty, but Son has been given special dispensation to stay with Tottenham.

The South Korean international will join up with his nation later this month, but for now Son remains with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

And Newcastle fans have been left very frustrated that they have lost such a key player, while Tottenham have been able to keep hold of their in-form attacker.

Ki’s absence at Newcastle has been felt in recent weeks, as Rafael Benitez’s side have struggled for wins.

Ki had been a key part of Newcastle’s central midfield, but they will be without him for weeks yet.

Son, meanwhile, has been in brilliant form for Tottenham of late and scored against Cardiff City in his most recent outing yesterday.

Son is due to meet up with Newcastle’s Ki on international duty, when he flies out to the Asia Cup in the middle of January.
