Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu has suggested he wants to stay at St. James’ Park for years.

Newcastle United fans do not appear pleased with Christian Atsu’s comments, suggesting he wants to stay at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle face great uncertainty over the future of many of their players, as Rafael Benitez apperas to be edging closer to an exit.
But one man who appears set to stay with the Magpies next season is Atsu.
“I’m very happy at Newcastle and I’m happy with the fans. I’m especially happy with (Rafa) Benitez, the staff and everybody at the club,” he said to footballmadeinghana.com.
“I’d like to stay there as many years as possible but it will depend on me and my performances.”
Atsu’s comments may not have gone down as well as he hoped at Newcastle though.
The rapid forward has only been a fringe player over the past season for Newcastle, and he does have plenty of doubters at St. James’ Park.
And it seems that there are many Newcastle fans hoping that £6.2 million winger (Daily Mail) is sold this summer.
If Atsu does stay at Newcastle his chances of playing next term may be increased, as there could be a sizeable amount of exits at St. James’ Park this summer.
