Newcastle United are expected to be in the conversation to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Hugo Ekitike in the January transfer window.
Hugo Ekitike could be back on Newcastle United’s transfer wish list when the transfer window opens in January.
That is according to The Sunday Mirror (17/09, p78), who claim that Newcastle will ‘be part of the conversation’ to sign Ekitike.
It’s stated that Ekitike has been axed from the Paris Saint-Germain Champions League squad having rejected a move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old hasn’t even been in a matchday squad for PSG since the transfer window closed with a January exit surely on the cards.

Premier League move a real possibility for Hugo Ekitike
It’s stated that a Premier League move could materialise for Ekitike with three London clubs already interested.
West Ham United are keen on Ekitike, as they were over the summer, whilst Brentford and Crystal Palace are also interested.
Newcastle are considered likely to have another look at Ekitike too as they eye a potential raid in their Champions League opponents.
Newcastle and PSG meet in Group F of the Champions League this season, facing off once in October and once in November.
There is a real chance that both Newcastle and PSG advance from Group F, at which point the Magpies may want another attacking threat for the knockout stages – a player like Ekitike, perhaps.

Newcastle may still fancy Ekitike despite previous snubs
It’s starting to feel like we will see Ekitike linked with Newcastle in every transfer window.
The Magpies famously chased Ekitike in 2022, making a January move to sign Ekitike from Reims.
L’Equipe stated that Newcastle agreed a deal but Ekitike rejected the move to Tyneside.
Newcastle tried again last summer as The Telegraph reported that a deal had once again been agreed.
Eiktike went quiet though and with Newcastle struggling to get in contact with him, the striker chose a move to PSG instead.
Newcastle going back to Ekitike after two snubs would be a surprise, but maybe the Magpies still see huge potential in the Frenchman, who has been hailed as ‘very special’ by his former Reims manager Oscar Garcia.
