Newcastle United want Eguinaldo and his agent has indicated that there is real interest from the Magpies amid links to West Ham United.
The Magpies are on their to creating quite the Brazilian flavour under Eddie Howe.
Newcastle already have two Brazilian stars in midfield with Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton shining.
The duo are the heartbeat of Howe’s team right now and Newcastle fans are absolutely loving their Samba stars.
It looks like Newcastle have another Brazilian signing in mind with the Magpies confident of landing Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Santos.

That report also added that Newcastle were interested in Vasco teammate Eguinaldo too.
Eguinaldo, 18, has bagged three goals in 17 appearances for Vasco’s first team and looks set for a big future.
The teenage winger may follow Andrey Santos to St James’ Park but there is competition.
Vasco Noticias reported this week that West Ham sent a scout to watch Eguinaldo ahead of potentially launching a move.
Atencao Vascaínos have even claimed that West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman has visited Vasco’s training ground to advance his interest in Eguinaldo.
It’s added that West Ham can sign Eguinaldo if they pay his £26milllion release clause, leaving the ball in the Hammers’ court.
Canal do Pedrosa’s Ruann de Lima now reports, thanks to Sport Witness with the translation, that he has spoken to Eguinaldo’s agent.
De Lima claims that the agent responded by admitting that Newcastle are indeed watching Eguinaldo.
Other clubs are keen though – and that could include West Ham – with Newcastle’s interest at the ‘very early’ stages as things stand.
“I also asked about Newcastle’s interest in the attacker. What he told me there is an observation, yes, from Newcastle, over Eguinaldo. But there is also the observation of several other clubs. These are very embryonic things, very early, and they are not even considered negotiations or anything very official,” said De Lima.
When you add in links to Santos forward Angelo Gabriel as well, Newcastle are trying to land a trio of Brazilian wonderkids in 2023 and will hope this groundwork leads to a deal for Eguinaldo despite West Ham’s pursuit.
