Newcastle United are believed to be tracking both Benfica’s Lisandro Lopez and Andreas Samaris.

The transfer window so far has been a hugely frustrating one for Newcastle United.

Newcastle have completed just one transfer to date, with Christian Atsu’s loan becoming a permanent deal.

Frustrations are rising at St. James’ Park, with the lack of additions, but Newcastle may be planning to change that soon.

Newcastle are said to be lining up a £26.6 million double deal for Benfica’s Lisandro Lopez and Andreas Samaris by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

And if Newcastle were able to bring in the pair, it would finally announce their intentions ahead of the new season.

Lopez and Samaris have both been in demand this summer, and look to be very talented.

The duo both played key roles for Benfica last season, and should have the capabilities to make an impression at Premier League level.

And if Rafael Benitez was able to bring them both to Tyneside, it would finally kick-start Newcastle’s summer plans – as the Magpies aim to add quality to their squad in the coming weeks.
