Sean Longstaff played a hugely impressive role alongside his brother, Matty, in Newcastle United’s victory at the weekend.

The siblings both put in brilliant performances, as Newcastle picked up a 1-0 victory in the contest, with Matty scoring the winner.
And Dawson admits that Sean’s performance really showed how much he has developed in recent times.
The Newcastle youth coach admits there were concerns about the defensive side of Sean’s game when he was breaking through.
But the 21-year-old looked very solid against Manchester United.
And Dawson said: “Sean is the quieter of the two, the more serious one. Matty is more of a character, bubbly and talks a lot. He’s like a little kid. But they listen and they learn and that is why, when the opportunity arises, they have taken it.
“Sean had players ahead of him coming through, players who got their chance before him and didn’t take it.
“We had some doubts about Sean because he was always an attack-minded player, but what impressed me the most about his performance against Manchester United, was he looked like one of the senior pros.
“He has worked so hard on the defensive side of the game, the positions he has to take up and it was because of that discipline, it allowed Matty to press and get forward.”
Sean is now a fully established member of Newcastle’s first-team, with his performances attracting attention.
Matty could also be given more first-team action this term, after proving that he is capable of making an impact for the senior side on Sunday.
