Newcastle United target Callum Hudson-Odoi is leaving Chelsea after being given permission to seek a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Whilst Reece James and Mason Mount continue to shine at Chelsea, some homegrown talents have found breakthroughs a little harder to come by.
Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori both spring to mind as players who have moved on in search of first-team action elsewhere.
Both players headed out on loan first though, and it looks like winder Hudson-Odoi is ready to leave Chelsea on a temporary basis very soon.
Newcastle United target Callum Hudson-Odoi is leaving Chelsea
Sky Sports report that Hudson-Odoi has now been given permission to seek a loan move away from Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi was left out of the Chelsea squad to face Everton on Saturday afternoon and his representatives are working on a loan move away.
It’s stated that two Premier League clubs are interested in taking Hudson-Odoi on loan, but so are Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
It now seems like the latter are favourites for Hudson-Odoi, with Sky adding that Dortmund are in talks with the winger’s representatives.
Dortmund have enjoyed success with English talent over recent years with both Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham shining for the Bundesliga side.

Hudson-Odoi may now fancy making the same move to Germany, possibly leaving Newcastle to miss out.
90Min reported in July that Newcastle were showing a significant interest in signing Hudson-Odoi, most likely on a loan deal rather than a permanent move.
Hudson-Odoi is now available and Newcastle certainly still need a right-sided winger, so the 21-year-old may make perfect sense for the Magpies.
Hudson-Odoi has always shown potential at Chelsea but just hasn’t quite put it all together under Thomas Tuchel.
A loan move now seems to be the best idea, and Newcastle would be wise to chase his signature and boost Eddie Howe’s attack after making a winning start to the season.
