Newcastle United believe Bruno Guimaraes will stay despite rumoured interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
The Magpies really pulled off a staggering coup by signing Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon in January.
Newcastle forked out around £40million for the Brazilian, marking the biggest signing of the first transfer window following PIF’s takeover.
Almost all of Newcastle’s signings have been outstanding in 2022 but Bruno Guimaraes may stand at the top of the pile.

Newcastle United believe Bruno Guimaraes will stay
The 24-year-old made an enormous impact in the second half of last season, scoring five goals in in 17 Premier League outings.
Bruno Guimaraes then took that form into this season, bagging two goals and two assists in nine games so far this term.
It looks like the Newcastle star can just play in any midfield role you ask.
Protecting the back four, dictating from deep, playing box to box, creating in the final third… Bruno Guimaraes can do it all.
That has unsurprisingly resulted in major interest.
TNT Sports in Brazil now report that Liverpool have joined Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race for Bruno Guimaraes.
That’s lofty interest but Newcastle are obviously under no pressure to sell given their riches.
90Min report that Newcastle are now very confident that Bruno Guimaraes will sign a new contract sooner rather than later.
It’s even considered to be a matter of when not if, with Newcastle firmly believing that the Brazilian will be around for years to come.
The report adds that Newcastle would plan to turn down nine-figure offers if they came in.
Of course, if offers reached the top end of that, Newcastle would have to think about it but £100million seemingly won’t cut it.
Liverpool would be unlikely to pay that in the first place but with Newcastle taking a firm stance, it’s safe to stay we won’t see Bruno Guimaraes in red at Anfield any time soon.
