Newcastle United have already signed Jacob Murphy from Norwich City this week.

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has told the Daily Mail that he is not interested in reuniting the Murphy brothers at St. James’ Park for the time being.

Newcastle managed to sign Jacob Murphy earlier this week, but they have also kept tabs on his brother Josh.

And when asked whether Josh could join Jacob at Newcastle, Benitez said: “We are happy with one of them at the moment, that is fine.”

Norwich had high hopes for both the Murphy brothers, but decided to allow Jacob to join Newcastle.

Murphy is now expected to have an important role for Newcastle over the upcoming campaign.

The 22-year-old was one of the stand out players in the Championship last term, and looks to have the capabilities to step up to playing in the top tier.

Murphy has become Newcastle’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of both Florian Lejeune and Christian Atsu.

Newcastle are expected to continue to bring in new faces before the Premier League season starts in August.
