Newcastle United signed Jacob Murphy from Norwich City during the summer transfer window.

Murphy was brought to Newcastle from Norwich City during the summer transfer window, but he has not made much of an impact at St. James’ Park yet.
Murphy has made just one Premier League start for Newcastle to date, when he featured in their victory over Swansea City.

However, the 22-year-old wide man has been left on the substitutes’ bench for Newcastle’s last three matches.
And Benitez claims that it could take a while for Murphy to really start showing his quality for the Magpies.
“You go to Jacob Murphy for example,” the Spanish boss said.
“Another one who is a young player, who trains well, trains in another way, he has Atsu and [Matt] Ritchie playing well, so he needs some time to make sure he will be fine.”

Murphy could have a chance to feature for Newcastle in their next match, after the international break, which comes against Southampton.
Newcastle are sweating over the fitness of both Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu, and if the pair do miss out, then Murphy looks to most likely member of Newcastle’s first-team to step into Benitez’s starting line-up.
