Magpies boss Rafa Benitez spoke to the media in the aftermath of his side’s impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa at St James’ Park last night, and emphasised the importance of utilising his entire squad over the upcoming months, as the fixtures continue to come thick and fast, as quoted by the Shields Gazette.
Newcastle are once again top of the pile, looking down at the rest of the Championship table, and travel to the south coast to take on second placed Brighton & Hove Albion next Tuesday, in a game that could have huge ramifications as far as the title race is concerned.
A home game against Bristol City awaits them before that though, as they look to continue their fine run of form that has seen them go unbeaten in the league since January 2nd.
And Benitez told reporters how his entire squad will have to play a part over the remainder of the season, what with the busy schedule ahead of them, as quoted by the Shields Gazette:
“You play two games in a week. We have to concentrate on every single game. Now we have to be strong enough to get three points in every single game. I have confidence that we can still do it. We have to use the squad and we will enjoy this. You have to have players with the right mentality.”

The Tyneside outfit have racked up an impressive 69 points from 32 league outings thus far, and are well on track to end up with 100 points – a total that will quite easily see them earn promotion back to the Premier League.
And whatever anyone says about Rafa Benitez, he deserves a lot of credit for the manner in which he has guided his team through their campaign so far, with the rest of the division looking at Newcastle as a major scalp.
