Newcastle United want Bobby Wales as they look to complete another raid on Kilmarnock having already signed Charlie McArthur.

The Magpies have pulled off some very impressive recruitment for their first team, giving fans hope of a European finish.

Dan Ashworth and co have also placed a keen focus on signing young players for the future though.

The deal for Garang Kuol has grabbed the headlines but there were also summer deals for Jude Smith, Alex Murphy, Jordan Hackett and Charlie McArthur over the summer.

Newcastle United want Bobby Wales

McArthur arrived from Kilmarnock having emerged as a quality prospect with the Ayrshire club.

It now seems that Newcastle aren’t done just yet and now want to sign another Kilmarnock prospect in the near future.

The Daily Record claim that Newcastle are now showing a keen interest in signing Kilmarnock teenager Bobby Wales.

It’s stated that Newcastle scouted Wales in action for Kilmarnock’s reserves against St Johnstone on Tuesday.

Area scouts were allegedly talking up Wales but Newcastle are taking their interest to another level now.

Wales, 17, has been given a contract until 2024 and Kilmarnock would allegedly need a ‘lucrative’ offer to tempt them into selling him.

Sheffield United are also keen on Wales but Newcastle will hope that the deal for McArthur can give them the upper hand.

Not only is the line of communication to Kilmarnock open after that deal but the chance to join forces again could appeal.

Wales is an attack-minded player who described himself as ‘fast’ with a ‘bit of skill’ when speaking to Kilmarnock media last year.

This would be another exciting move for the future at Newcastle if they can pull off a deal and another indication that the Magpies want to build gradually and wisely rather than just focus on splashing PIF’s cash on. Big names.
