Pat Nevin has raved about Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin on BBC Radio 5 Live (5:41pm, October 17, 2021).
Nevin has said that Saint-Maximin is getting better with every game and has improved a lot as a player since he moved to Newcastle from Nice in 2019.
The BBC pundit has added that the 24-year-old winger is a more intelligent player now.
The former Chelsea winger made the comments while watching Saint-Maximin in action for Newcastle against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday.
Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 Live (5:41pm, October 17, 2021): “He is electric. You can have two or three players on him, it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
“Having watched him since he came over to Newcastle, he was raw. He is getting better and better and better as time goes by.
“You never knew what he was going to do, and I don’t think he knew what he was going to do in his early days. There’s more intelligence to his game now. He is now a very clever player.”

Allan Saint-Maximin is Newcastle’s talisman
Ask any Newcastle fan who the best player in the team is, and they will name Saint-Maximin.
In our view, the 24-year-old is Newcastle’s talisman.
We think that the new Newcastle owners are going to build a new team around the Frenchman.
Well, at least they should.
The winger is simply brilliant.
Saint-Maximin can score goals, create chances, runs with the ball, can dribble, and is a constant threat for opposition defences.
The winger has scored two goals in eight Premier League appearances so far this season.
The 24-year-old has provided three assists and has created four big chances.
