Newcastle United lost once again this afternoon and former striker Alan Shearer is far from happy with what he saw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Magpies have yet to win a Premier League game this season and again fell to defeat away at Wolves today.

Hwang Hee-chan put Wolves in front before Jeff Hendrick levelled it for Newcastle.

Steve Bruce’s men ultimately lost though as Hwang again found the net, giving Wolves a 2-1 victory.

Newcastle’s dismal start continues

Today’s result means Newcastle are still without a Premier League win this season.

With four defeats and three draws this season, Newcastle are in desperate need of a victory from somewhere, anywhere.

Bruce is under huge pressure, as he should be.

Newcastle aren’t making any kind of progress under Bruce and don’t even look like winning a game right now.

Today’s result was another major disappointment – and with three points in seven games, who can blame Newcastle fans for being angry?

Shearer reacts to Newcastle result

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer watched the game and really was impressed.

The Newcastle hero took to Twitter after the final whistle to post just three words about the performance.

‘That was awful’ said Shearer, encapsulating how Newcastle fans feel right now.
