Newcastle United are not put off by the enormity of Aaron Ramsey’s Juventus wages as they chase a January move for the midfielder.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who claim that Ramsey is one of Newcastle’s key targets for the winter window.
It’s noted that new owners PIF have huge money to invest and simply aren’t frightened by Ramsey’s wages.
The report claims that Ramsey earns €14million-a-year with Juventus, around £225,000-a-week.
There have often been claims that Ramsey earns £400,000-a-week at Juve, but the Turin club have played that down.
Ramsey has started just one Serie A game this season. His total league playing time amounts to 97 minutes, and he has played just 14 minutes in the Champions League.
It’s clear that Ramsey needs to leave Juventus, and Newcastle may be the only Premier League club willing to match those wages.
Ramsey can still provide a spark for Newcastle

The Magpies need as much instant quality as they can get, and Ramsey has that despite a couple of lost seasons in Italy.
Ramsey, 30, hit four goals and six assists in his last Premier League campaign at Arsenal, and that came despite starting just 14 times.
The Welshman may have regressed a little since then, but Newcastle need quality coming from midfield.
That just isn’t happening now, and with relegation a real concern, a proven Premier League player like Ramsey could really help the Newcastle cause.
