According to The Sun, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is keen on yet another reunion with Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina this summer.
The Magpies have won promotion back to the Premier League by winning the Championship title, and manager Benitez will be keen to bring in new signings to boost his squad.
Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez celebrates
The Spaniard may look to strengthen a number of key areas of his side, with a new goalkeeper a possible target for Benitez, given the confusion between the sticks at St. James’ Park right now.
Matz Sels, who joined the club last summer, looks set to leave before next season, whilst Karl Darlow was dropped in favour of Rob Elliot towards the end of the season, with Benitez seemingly not quite convinced by any of his goalkeeping options.

Now, The Sun report that Benitez wants a reunion with Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina, with the Magpies boss allegedly hoping to agree a deal for his compatriot quickly.
Reina, 34, made a total of 47 first-team appearances in all competitions for Napoli, continuing to serve as their first-choice goalkeeper having re-joined the Italians from Bayern Munich back in 2015.
Spain’s Pepe Reina warms up
Reina won the World Cup with Spain in 2010 as well as two European Championships, and made his name with Liverpool under Benitez, playing more than 250 times for the Reds with Benitez at the helm.
Benitez signed Reina again with Napoli in 2013, and is allegedly pursuing another reunion, with the veteran goalkeeper allegedly ready to jump at the chance of reuniting with Benitez again, whilst Napoli are believed to be keen on a deal too, meaning this could be a move to suit all parties if true.
