Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have joined Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the race for Rennes midfielder Lovro Majer in the January transfer window, according to MediaFoot.
The report has claimed that Newcastle are planning to make a bid for the Croatia international midfielder, who earns £26,000 per week as salary at Rennes (SalarySport).
Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid had already shown interest in Majer after his performances at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, and now Premier League club Newcastle have joined the race for the 24-year-old.

Majer has made seven starts and seven substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Rennes so far this season.
The Croatian has scored one goal and provided two assists in those matches.
The 24-year-old has scored one goal and given one assist in six UEFA Europa League games for Rennes so far this campaign.
