Newcastle United are interested in signing Solly March from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, according to 90min.
Newcastle United linked with Brighton and Hove Albion star Solly March
The report has claimed that both Newcastle manager Eddie Howe and football director Dan Ashworth are keen on the 28-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a wing-back.
However, Brighton do not want to sell March in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Seagulls are planning to open talks with the Englishman over a new contract.
Impressive player
In our view, Solly March is a very impressive player, and given his progress at Brighton and Hove Albion, we are not at all surprised that Newcastle United want to sign him.
March has been on the books of Brighton since 2011, and he is now in his prime at 28.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has described the 28-year-old as “the most improved player” in the Premier League (SussexLive, January 2023).
March has scored four goals and given four assists in 18 Premier League matches for the Seagulls so far this season.
The Englishman made 17 starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season, providing two assists in the process.
