Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United could make a bid for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku in the summer of 2023, according to CMW.
Newcastle United linked with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku
The Italian news outlet has claimed that Newcastle are among a number of clubs who could try to secure the services of Lukaku at the end of the season.
Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been linked.
The 29-year-old striker is on loan at Serie A club Inter from Premier League outfit Chelsea at the moment.
The £350,000-a-week (SalarySport) Belgium international is scheduled to return to the Blues at the end of the season.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Newcastle United could be able to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 if they end up in the UEFA Champions League places and the Blues do not.
Now, when Lukaku was sent out on loan to Inter, Graham Potter was not the manager of the Blues.
So, Potter could well decide to reintegrate the former Manchester United striker into his team for next season.
However, if Newcastle qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, then they could be very appealing to Lukaku.
The Magpies have embarked on a grand project, and someone with Lukaku’s experience and quality would make them better.
