Angelo Gabriel’s agent has ruled out the possibility of the teenager leaving Brazil leaving in the summer, with Newcastle United interested in signing the 18-year-old.
Speaking to Premier League Brasil, Marisa Alija stated that Angelo is not focussing on recent speculation linking the winger with a move to England, with Newcastle and Nottingham Forest both believed to be interested in signing the youngster this summer.
With Newcastle already making a reported £22m bid to sign Angelo, the Magpies seem like the early favourites to win the race for the teenager in the summer. However, according to the player’s agent, a move is unlikely happen anytime soon this year.
Alija said when asked about Angelo’s future amid Premier League interest: “At the moment, it’s all speculation. There’s nothing. Angelo doesn’t even talk about playing abroad, he talks a lot about Santos, he’s focused here. Now that he’s at Santos, he doesn’t think about that.”

Indeed, agent talk is something we know can’t always be taken as the whole truth. And with Brazilian youngsters becoming hot commodities for some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Newcastle could still make another offer to sign Angelo in the summer.
Moreover, with the Magpies missing out on the likes of Andrey Santos in January, Newcastle could throw all their eggs into the Angelo-shaped basket in the coming months to bring the wonderkid to the northeast, even after what the winger’s agent has now said on her exciting client.
Newcastle could go all out to sign Angelo this summer

Newcastle’s newfound wealth under their PIF owners has naturally led the club’s transfer team to South America, where the Magpies seem intent on landing a wonderkid of their own to hone and nurture in the years to come into a superstar. And Angelo could be that player if the Premier League side pushes hard enough.
Whilst the winger’s agent is adamant Angelo won’t leave Santos in the coming months, money talks in football, especially in Brazil. And Newcastle could land the teenager if they’re committed and willing to offer Santos what they want for their latest wonderkid talent.
