Tammy Abraham looks set to be handed an opportunity in the Premier League and he must show that he is a future Chelsea forward.
Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham in England action
Tammy Abraham looks certain to secure a Premier League loan move ahead of the coming season, with The Telegraph reporting bids from promoted pair Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The England youth international struck 26 goals in all competitions for Bristol City last term, enjoying a first full senior campaign away from Chelsea and earning plenty of admirers.

However, while Abraham – according to The Standard – is set to net a bumper new deal and the opportunity to impress on loan, fellow prospect Dominic Solanke will depart Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis at the end of the month.
Antonio Conte kept Solanke at Chelsea for the 2016-17 season, but he failed to make a single first team appearance before heading to the U20 World Cup, where he has so far scored twice for England.
Solanke’s pedigree is such that he has already agreed a deal to join Liverpool at the end of his contract, though, giving him the opportunity to compete with Abraham in the top flight.

That move puts pressure on Abraham, who – should he complete a switch to Newcastle – must now battle with Dwight Gayle for a starting spot, prove his worth in the Premier League and show that the Blues made the right choice.
Rafa Benitez and the Newcastle fans, and indeed Chelsea, will hope that Abraham’s eagerness to impress in the top tier will motivate the 19-year-old to fire the Magpies to a successful season.
