Ryan Fraser is reportedly on the radar for many English clubs ahead of the January transfer window as the winger looks set to leave Newcastle United just two years after joining the Magpies.
According to the Chronicle Live, Premier League and Championship sides, all situated down south, are interested in the Scotland international, with Fraser looking likely to leave Newcastle in January after the attacker lost his regular starting place this season.
Miguel Almiron’s incredible form and Eddie Howe’s system has meant that the 28-year-old has been limited to just eight Premier League appearances, with only three of these being starts as Fraser has not featured for Newcastle since their 1-0 win against Everton in October.
As per the report, a move down to the English south coast is the most likely destination for Fraser, with the attacker settled in the area during his time with AFC Bournemouth before his move to Newcastle in 2020, though it is not stated which specific clubs are interested in the winger.

The Cherries themselves being a potential suitor is a reasonable theory as is Southampton, with the Premier League duo both looking for more creativity and attacking depth on the wings ahead of the January transfer window, whilst a Championship club could also be a realistic option for Fraser given his lack of playing time this season.
Indeed, a move would be the perfect decision for all parties. And for Fraser, the attacker will no doubt want to sign for a club where he will become a regular again after a mixed spell with Newcastle, where the PIF takeover has seemingly scuppered the Scotsman’s plans on Tyneside.
Fraser must leave Newcastle in January for the good of his career

Fraser’s time at Newcastle has been unusual, to say the least. Yet there’s no doubt that the attacker can go on to have an incredible career if he makes the decision to leave the club in January, especially with teams already interested in the Scotland international.
After all, Fraser was one of the best players in the Premier League during his final season with Bournemouth. And for many fans, the winger could easily recapture this form in the next year or two if the attacker leaves St. James Park for a club down south.
