Newcastle United and Southampton are reportedly facing competition for Liverpool forward Danny Ings in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

It has been reported that Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle and Mark Hughes’s Southampton are interested in signing Ings this summer.

The Telegraph has also claimed that Palace want to secure the services of the 26-year-old forward – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to The Express.

Roy Hodgson’s Eagles are reportedly ready to pay £20 million for the England international and have opened talks with Liverpool.

Quality footballer

Ings has had injury issues during his time at Liverpool, and one suspects that the Reds will not miss the former Burnley forward if he leaves the Reds in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old, though, knows the Premier League inside out, and the forward would be a good signing for Newcastle, Southampton or Palace this summer.

Back in the 2014-15 season, Ings scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 35 Premier League appearances for Burnley, according to WhoScored.
