Everton winger Ademola Lookman should be next on the agenda for Newcastle United, with winger Kenedy reportedly set to rejoin on loan.

As reported by ESPN, Chelsea youngster Kenedy has undergone a medical at Newcastle United ahead of a return to St. James’ Park on loan, and the Magpies could do worse than to follow him up with Everton’s Ademola Lookman.

Kenedy will be a solid coup for Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez, after the Brazilian showed what he is capable of last season. The winger impressed with his crossing and inclination to be direct, and he will provide creativity from wide positions next term.

That said, it has recently been reported that Matt Ritchie could be on his way out of the club. The 28-year-old has been in contact with Stoke City about a move, as reported by Sky Sports, and may yet drop down a division, which would leave Newcastle short in the wide areas.

If that were to happen then a swoop for Lookman would become even more pressing. Although Newcastle should be all over that anyway, before Everton cave and sell him to RB Leipzig.

Lookman, of course, was loaned out to the Bundesliga club last season after failing to gain the trust of then-manager Sam Allardyce, and now they want him back permanently according to BBC Sport.

Supposedly they have bid £15 million for the England U21 star, who is said to be desperate for game time. Surely that is something Newcastle would be able to offer him and, if he did turn out in black and white next term, the Magpies would be boasting two frightening young wingers capable of interchanging.

Kenedy and Lookman have pace in abundance and are, in theory, much more difficult to defend against than Ritchie, Christian Atsu or Ayoze Perez, who was fielded out wide on occasion in 2017/18.
