Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin face’s an uncertain future at Goodison Park, according to a report from the Daily Star, and Rafa Benitez should swoop in and bring him to Newcastle this summer.
The Frenchman joined the Toffees from Manchester United in January 2017, for a fee that could eventually rise to £24 million, according to BBC Sport, but he has failed to live up to expectations on Merseyside.
That isn’t to say that he doesn’t have a lot to offer at the very highest level, though, and a fresh start at St James’ Park might be just what he needs to breath fire back into his stuttering career.

The 28-year-old is a deep-lying, ball-winning midfielder by trade, and his arrival on Tyneside would provide the Magpies with a much-needed level of physicality in the middle of the park.
Newcastle will obviously have to sell before they can buy this summer, but with a few potential outgoings edging ever closer, Rafa should have ample funds to play with.
The Frenchman’s extensive experience of playing at the very highest level would surely prove to be a fantastic asset to Newcastle, given the fact that they undoubtedly lack a certain level of experience and nouse.
Schneiderlin’s energy in the middle of the pitch would provide the Toon with an added level of vigour and dynamism to their play, and if Rafa manages to bring him to St James’ Park, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Newcastle.
