Newcastle United’s Paul Dummett injured himself on Friday night.

Wales’ Twitter account confirmed this afternoon that Newcastle United’s Paul Dummett has withdrawn from the squad to face Albania next week.
The Newcastle left-back pulled up in the first half of Friday’s 2-1 defeat by Denmark in Cardiff.
As quoted by The Chronicle, Wales manager Ryan Giggs confirmed the injury but did not go into specifics.
From a Magpies perspective, Rafael Benitez will be hoping that there’s nothing majorly wrong with Dummett – because that would mean a potential return for Javier Manquillo.
The Spanish defender, normally a right-back, has deputised in a left-back role quite often for Newcastle but the results are never all that positive.
Simply put, the former Liverpool man shouldn’t be anywhere near Benitez’s first XI as a left-back, but that might be a weekly occurrence for a while, depending on Dummett’s injury.
In theory, Kenedy could simply drop back into a wing-back role, but United have won their last two Premier League games and finally getting a bit of momentum.
But the Spanish manager won’t want to disrupt a winning formula by tinkering with his formation to accommodate Kenedy in a more defensive role, meaning that Benitez might well bring Manquillo back in and keep the Brazilian on the left wing.
Manquillo has been a very poor addition by the former Real Madrid and Napoli coach, so even Benitez might be praying that Dummett will be okay to continue in defence when the club calendar resumes next weekend.
