The Newcastle United teenager is scoring at a superb rate for the under-23s.
Newcastle United have such a strong squad this season that the prospect of a teenage talent breaking through is highly unlikely.
However, there is one young Magpies player who is in the form of his life and could benefit from the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Attacking midfielder Sean Longstaff cannot stop scoring for Newcastle’s under-23 side, netting nine goals in his last 10 outings at that level.
It is a superb record and the 19-year-old will be hoping he has caught the eye of first-team boss Rafa Benitez.
Scoring goals has not been a problem for Newcastle so far this season but that does not mean Longstaff should be overlooked, and he would benefit from being called up while he is firing on all cylinders.

The winter will see Newcastle lose up to five players for AFCON duty, including Christian Atsu and Mo Diame, and Longstaff could be a surprise option to replace the latter in the match-day squad.
That is not to say the teenager should be thrown in at the deep end. But a place on the bench is not beyond the realms of possibility so why not try him now, when there is every chance he could continue his fine form on a far bigger stage?
