The midfielder could leave Newcastle United this month.

Newcastle United have yet to make any signings in this month’s transfer window but there could soon be a departure from St James’ Park.
Midfielder Henri Saivet, who has been on the periphery of proceedings for Rafael Benitez’s side, is the subject of interest from Montpellier over a possible loan move, as reported by L’Equipe.
Saivet joined Newcastle from Bordeaux in January 2016 but has been restricted to just seven senior appearances for the club and spent last season on loan at Saint-Etienne.

Although he has been used sparingly by Newcastle, there is a feeling that the 27-year-old could have made an impact had he been afforded more opportunities.
Saivet scored against West Ham United in a rare Premier League appearance for Newcastle last month but has subsequently featured just once for the club.

Especially when Newcastle’s struggles this season are taken into consideration, Saivet should at least have been given more chances.
As it stands, if Saivet does leave then it won’t have much of an impact on Newcastle given how little he has featured this season.
Had he been called upon so often, though, Newcastle may have fared a little better so far this campaign.
