Newcastle need a number 10 after solving their left-back woes.

Newcastle United have finally solved their left-back woes with the loan signing of Chelsea ace Kenedy, in what is a major breakthrough for Rafa Benitez as he finally adds to his depleted squad this month.

The 20-year-old joins on loan until the end of the season, and he will replace Paul Dummett at left-back while the Brazilian can also give Benitez options on the left flank and in a more central role.

Now, Benitez will be looking for owner Mike Ashley’s continual backing as he looks to patch up other areas of his paper thin squad. A new goalkeeper, a winger and a striker are all required at St. James’ Park.

Kenedy of Chelsea takes a throw in during The Emirates FA Cup Third Round Replay between Chelsea and Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on January 17, 2018 in London, England.

But perhaps the most important of them all is luring a new playmaker to Tyneside, as Ayoze Perez and Mo Diame struggle to have any kind of impact since the club’s promotion back to the Premier League.

Perez, 24, has scored just two goals in 22 Premier League matches and managed to create only one more as an assist, and it is clear to see that a new attacking midfielder is required.

It should see Benitez turn his attention to Inter Milan ace Eder, with Sky Sports claiming Crystal Palace are in talks to complete a deal for the £10million-rated attacker.

The 26-time Italy international has been afforded just 210 minutes of Serie A action this season, but his quality is undoubted from the number 10 role. He has had a hand in 86 goals in just 232 Serie A appearances.

Scoring 58 of those and creating 28, Eder is either scoring or creating a goal in one every three games and that ratio at Newcastle would be crucial. Although he would not be a long-term signing, the 31-year-old would be pivotal in keeping the Toon in the division.

Oozing class and charisma, as well as the invention and precision to slice open an opposition defence, £10million fro Eder is a steal and Newcastle must swoop in and elbow Palace aside to land his signature.
