The Chelsea winger has been linked with a loan move to Newcastle United.

With his playing time at Chelsea having been rather limited so far this season, Charly Musonda could leave the club on loan in this month’s transfer window.
As reported by The Sun, Newcastle United are one of several Premier League clubs that are interested in signing the midfielder on a temporary basis, and it is definitely a move that Rafael Benitez’s side should look to pursue.

Newcastle’s current wide options are wholly unconvincing, with Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie having lacked consistency this season, while Rolando Aarons is still developing and Christian Atsu has only caught the eye in patches.
Although he can thrive as an attacking midfielder, Musonda is capable of performing effectively on either flank, with his directness and close control important assets.

The 21-year-old may lack much in the way of Premier League experience, but he did have two loan spells in La Liga with Real Betis and has produced some outstanding performances for Chelsea at youth level.
Musonda is a fine prospect and if Newcastle do have the opportunity to bring him in on a temporary basis then they should certainly take it as he could prove extremely useful in helping their quest to avoid relegation.
