Nathan Ake reveals he will be having talks with Chelsea about his future and Newcastle should be keeping a close eye on proceedings.

Nathan Ake has admitted that he will be sitting down and talking to the Chelsea hierarchy about what next season will hold for him.
Ake impressed on-loan at AFC Bournemouth in the first half of the 2016/17 campaign, before being recalled to Stamford Bridge by manager Antonio Conte in January.

However, the 22-year-old managed just two Premier League appearances for the champions after being brought back and might be readying himself for another loan spell next term.
“I think at my age now, you want to play a little bit more,” Ake told the Guardian.
“Of course you also know this is a big club, so there will be big players and it’s not easy to come into the team.
“I just need to see what is going to happen with Michael [Emenalo, the technical director] or the manager. We have to talk and see what is best.”

If Ake is allowed to leave the Blues once again in 2017/18 then newly promoted Newcastle United should make sure they are at the front of the queue for the Netherlands international.
Magpies boss Rafael Benitez still has good connections in West London from his time as caretaker manager at Chelsea and should use these to snap up one of the most promising and versatile defenders in the division.
Mainly used as a centre-back by Bournemouth, Ake can also play as a left-back and in defensive midfield and would be the ideal acquisition for Newcastle as they look to build a squad capable of competing in the top flight following their promotion from the Championship.
