Glasgow Rangers should look at bringing Newcastle United’s Haris Vuckic back to Ibrox.
Two years ago Rangers clinched a controversial deal to sign as many as six players on loan from Newcastle United.
Most ended up being unsuccessful moves, with on or two not even playing at all, but the one who did make a positive impression was Haris Vuckic.
The Slovenian striker scored eight goals in 15 league appearances for the Gers, and was a rare bright spot in a disappointing season for the Gers.
Rangers’ Haris Vuckic in action
He remains under contract to Newcastle but has struggled to win favour at the club, and has just completed his second disappointing loan in England over the past 18 months.
Last season he was loaned to Wigan and failed to make an impact, and his time on loan at Bradford City has just come to an end.
The Chronicle report that Vuckic has now returned to Newcastle, with his career in need of new direction.

The 24-year-old’s best option would be to hope former loan club Rangers come calling, and a switch may suit the Gers too.
Vuckic was a player who seemed to ‘get’ what it meant to play for Rangers, and had the fans on side.
He is in need of re-invigorating his career, but Rangers could do with some fresh impetus too, and Vuckic could be available on another loan deal.
Vuckic needs to play regularly and to feel the love from fans; he could get both at Ibrox, enabling him to do what he is tasked to – score goals, and loan success could this time turn to a permanent switch.
