As Newcastle United are set to face their biggest test of the 2022/2023 Premier League season against Arsenal, we expect Eddie Howe to ring in a couple of changes as part of our predicted XI.
Especially after coming off the back of a 3-0 win against Leicester City, Newcastle could well give Mikel Arteta’s side a headache on Tuesday night.
However, the Magpies will be pushed to the brink against an Arsenal side that are deservedly topping the table, as was evident in their latest 4-2 thrashing of Brighton.
Newcastle predicted XI vs Arsenal
As is always the case, Nick Pope will keep his place in between the sticks for Newcastle United.
In defence as well, we expect Eddie Howe to make no changes against Arsenal, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman and Dan Burn responsible for the finest backline in the Premier League.
Bruno Guimaraes is perhaps the first name on the team sheet and is set to marshal the back four as per standard procedure.
We expect Sean Longstaff to drop to the bench, with Joe Willock’s eye for goal and Joelinton’s industry preferred against Mikel Arteta’s side.
In the front line as well, £16 million man (Sky Sports) Allan Saint-Maximin could be brought into the side, considering the fact that he terrorized Arsenal in the previous meeting between both sides.

Callum Wilson could also be re-introduced to the side in place of Chris Wood, despite the latter performing in the England international’s absence.
Much like Saint-Maximin, Wilson was electric against the Gunners as well.
On the right wing, Miguel Almiron, who scored his 9th league goal of the season (as per the official Premier League website) against Leicester is a guaranteed starter at this point.
Overall, we expect the brilliant Eddie Howe to make 2 changes as part of our Newcastle predicted XI against an Arsenal side that is firing on all cylinders so far this campaign.
Newcastle predicted XI vs Arsenal: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Willock, Almiron, Wilson, Saint-Maximin.
