Martin Dubravka has suggested that Newcastle United should make a triple swoop for Milan Skriniar, Stanislav Lobotka and Marek Hamsik this summer.

Speaking on The One Glove’s Instagram channel the Newcastle stopper was asked which of his Slovakian international teammates he would like to see brought to St. James’ Park.

And Dubravka felt that there were three of his compatriots who could add to the quality of Newcastle’s squad.

“At the moment, I would probably pick three guys which I think have so much quality,” he said.

“Milan Skriniar, who’s a defender who is playing for Inter Milan. He’s an amazing player. Stanislav Lobotka, who’s at Napoli, and is an amazing player. And Marek Hamsik, who’s a legend.

“These three guys have so much quality and I’m glad I can be on the pitch with them because you can see that they have so much talent, but they work so hard as well.

“Even Marek Hamsik, who is 32 or 33, and you can see him every day in the gym doing the things to improve his level. It’s amazing to see that he still has some goals. He still wants to improve – even though he’s 32, which is nice. I admire him.”

Skriniar and Lobotka would be particularly appealing additions to Newcastle, even though Hamsik is arguably the highest profile of the trio.

Hamsik is reaching the twilight of his career now, and there would surely be questions over whether he could cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

Lobotka, who also plays in central midfield, would have no such issues though, with energetic midfielder having a credible first season at Napoli.

Skriniar, meanwhile, would help to strengthen Newcastle’s backline as the £52 million-rated star (Daily Mirror) is regarded as one of the most solid centre-backs in Italy.

If Newcastle were to land the trio they may require their takeover to go through, as it is unlikely that any of the Slovakian internationals would come cheaply.
