Former Partizan striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is now on loan at Fulham from Newcastle United.

Mitrovic, who joined Championship club Fulham on loan from Premier League outfit Newcastle in the January transfer window, played for Partizan in 2012-13.
The Serbia international striker has suggested that he wants to play for Serbian SuperLiga club again.

“God’s will is that I wear a black and white jersey,” Mitrovic told ChronicleLive. “I’m glad of that, I feel fine in this shirt.
“And it is not impossible that, again, before the end of my career, I will play at Partizan, from where I went to the world.”

Immediate future
Mitrovic is doing well at Fulham and is playing a key role in the Cottagers’ quest to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
The striker, who failed to make a single start in the Premier League for Newcastle in the first half of the campaign, has scored seven goals in nine Championship appearances for Fulham.
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez clearly does not rate the Serbian highly, and it would make sense for the 23-year-old to make his loan deal at Fulham permanent in the summer transfer window, especially if the London earn promotion to the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign.
Mitrovic joined Newcastle from Anderlecht in the summer of 2015 and earns £3.12 million per year as salary, according to Spotrac.com.
