Newcastle United are interested in signing Edin Dzeko from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid has claimed that Newcastle are eyeing a move for the former Manchester City striker next month.
Inter Milan signed the striker on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
The 35-year-old left AS Roma at the end of last season.
Defending Italian champions Inter could now reportedly be tempted to cash in on Dzeko.
Edin Dzeko to Newcastle is unlikely?
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Dzeko will leave Inter for Newcastle in the January transfer window.

Yes, Saudi Arabis’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are wealthy, but Newcastle are in dire form at the moment and could get relegated from the Premier League.
Would Dzeko really want to join Newcastle under such circumstances?
In our view, Inter are not going to sell the former Manchester City striker in the middle of the season either.
After all, the Milanese giants are aiming to win the Serie A title for the second season in a row.
And Dzeko – described as “an extraordinary player” by Paolo Di Canio in AreaNapoli in September 2020 – is an important player in the team.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international striker has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 12 Serie A starts for Inter so far this season.
Dzeko has also scored three goals and given one assist in six Champions League games for the Nerazzurri.
