Newcastle and Nottingham Forest have received a boost after UOL claimed that Angelo Gabriel is now open to leaving.
What’s the story?
Well, the Santos No.11 was the subject of a €19m (£17m) bid from Nottingham Forest at the end of the January transfer window, although the Brazilian giants rejected the offer.
It came after Area Napoli claimed that Newcastle were also considering a move for Angelo.
Now – according to UOL in Brazil – the Santos wonderkid is open to leaving in the summer transfer window.
Angelo expressed a willingness to stay in South America for the remainder of the season, although the Brazilian news outlet believe an exit from Santos could now be on during pre-season.
It comes as something of a boost to Eddie Howe and Steve Cooper in regards to their hopes of signing the talented Santos wonderkid, although the Premier League duo face competition from Flamengo.
Who is Newcastle & Nottingham Forest target Angelo?
We used to see the hottest South American talents join the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, although the enhanced finances in the Premier League have given sides like Nottingham Forest hope of signing gems such as Angelo.
If Newcastle or Nottingham Forest do manage to sign the 18-year-old, Howe or Cooper will be getting themselves a special talent, one who has been likened to Neymar.

It was Betinho – Angelo’s old coach – who made the comparison when speaking to Goal. He said: “He is like Neymar in terms of his dribbling at speed and his change of direction.”
The teenager has actually outdone the Paris Saint-Germain No.10, as well as the iconic Pele, by making his senior debut for Santos before they did to become the second-youngest debutant in the club’s history, behind Edu.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Angelo’s name this summer, as he could be moving to the Premier League.
