Newcastle United need to sign a goalscorer in January.

Newcastle United are still without a win after a 0-0 draw at Southampton on Saturday night, and they have failed to score in four of their last five Premier League games.
Only bottom club Huddersfield Town have scored fewer goals than Newcastle this season, and it’s imperative that Rafael Benitez finds a goalscorer in January.
Salomon Rondon has yet to find the net and Yoshinori Muto has scored just once, meaning a striker is needed – and a big, physical hitman would be ideal for Benitez’s style of play.
The Chronicle today report that Benitez may tap into the same contacts that saw Martin Dubravka arrive from Sparta Prague in January of this year, and that may take the Magpies back to what was supposed to be a double deal.
The Daily Mail reported that Newcastle were attempting to push through a £10million deal for Viktoria Plzen striker Michael Krmencik, as well as a loan deal for goalkeeper Dubravka; the latter went through, but the former did not.
Krmencik, 25, smashed 22 goals in 34 games last season as well as nine goals in 16 games this term, with the 6ft 2in striker featuring in the Champions League for Plzen this season.

Strong, quick and with a real eye for goal whether on the deck or in the air, Krmencik has all the attributes Newcastle are looking for, and they must look to resurrect their January move for the striker and finally attempt to pair him with Dubravka.
Newcastle have had great success with one signing from Czech football in Dubravka, and a year since he was supposed to follow the Slovakian to Tyneside, it’s time for Newcastle to come back with a new move for the goalscorer in a bid to solve their goalscoring woes.
