Newcastle United should be targeting Swansea City’s Daniel James this summer.

Swansea City winger Daniel James is going from strength to strength this season, and will surely attract major interest come the end of the season.
The 21-year-old wide man has been a regular in the Swansea side this season, hitting three goals and four assists in 29 games.
On Sunday, James again proved his quality, destroying the Slovakian defence in a superb display for Wales whilst scoring a powerful winner in a 1-0 victory.
His blistering pace and improving end product make him an exciting talent, and he seems to have huge potential to become a Premier League and Wales regular.
As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds had teed up a deadline day deal for James, but Swansea failed to sign it off, meaning he had to return to the Liberty Stadium.
That means other clubs now have the chance to jump in this summer, and Newcastle should be interested in luring the Yorkshire-born wide man back up north.

James is out of contract in 2020, meaning Swansea may have to cash in this summer, and he fits perfectly into Mike Ashley’s desire to bring young players with resale value to Newcastle.
Newcastle also have a decent relationship with Swansea after signing Jonjo Shelvey and Federico Fernandez from the Championship side, and James should be the latest target.
Leeds may well return for James this summer, but with Newcastle looking for young talent without breaking the bank and another dangerous winger, James fits the bill perfectly for the Magpies this summer.
