Newcastle United duo Georginio Wijnaldum and Aleksandar Mitrovic are too good to play in the Championship.
Georginio Wijnaldum
Georginio Wijnaldum is one of the best players at Newcastle and has done relatively well this season.
The Netherlands international midfielder has scored nine goals and created 41 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for the Magpies so far this season.
Wijnaldum arrived at St. James’ Park after winning the Eredivisie with PSV, and now he is fighting relegation.
It is hard to see the 25-year-old staying at Newcastle if Rafael Benitez’s side do get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
There will surely be clubs in the Premier League looking to snap up Wijnaldum, who has proven himself in the English top flight.
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Aleksandar Mitrovic is not having a great season, but he is too good and too talented to play in the Championship.
The Serbia international has not always been played to his strength this season, but he has still managed to score six goals in 26 league matches.
At 21, Mitrovic will surely be ambitious, and given his exploits at Anderlecht, many clubs in Europe and perhaps in the Premier League could be looking to make a move for him if the Magpies get relegated.
