HITC Football understands that Newcastle United have rebuffed an approach from Atletico Madrid for Callum Wilson.

Atletico are looking to add a striker to their ranks and enquired about a number of targets, Wilson included and sources have confirmed that the Spanish giants made contact with their Premier League counterparts.

However, Newcastle have insisted that they will not allow Wilson to leave and they did not entertain the prospect of him leaving the club this month.

Trippier interest remains

The news of Newcastle rejecting an approach comes just a day after they rejected Bayern Munich’s bid for Kieran Trippier.

As HITC Football revealed, Trippier remains open to joining Bayern and it is believed that they have not completely backed away from a deal as they continue to work on that another their other full-back target in the shape of Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele. Sources believe they are determined to land one of them.

Kean set for Atletico

Atletico have been looking at a number of options and their main target has emerged in the shape of Juventus’ Moise Kean.

Juve are willing to let Kean leave and as HITC Football revealed, was offered around the Premier League earlier this month, but Atletico are moving forward with a loan move and agreement is close to being finalised.
