The Premier League legend spoke after the Magpies ran out 2-0 winners over Burnley on Tuesday night.

Newcastle United’s Premier League relegation worries are slowly ebbing away thanks to a fourth consecutive home win as they beat Burnley 2-0 on Tuesday night.
The Clarets came to St James’ Park unbeaten in eight league games but they were behind after just 24 minutes when Fabian Schar found the back of the net from long range with an effort that went in off the post.
Sean Dyche’s charges then conceded again few minutes before the break when they failed to clear Matt Ritchie’s cross and academy graduate Sean Longstaff pounced for his first Magpies league goal.
From then on, Newcastle held firm and, although James Tarkowski came close with a spurned effort from close range, Burnley only registered two efforts on goal during the game as the hosts secured three points and built a seven-point gap between themselves and the bottom three.

Speaking after the game on Tyneside, BT Sport pundit and Premier League legend Martin Keown urged the Tyneside club to give manager Rafael Benitez “whatever he wants” in his contract, saying he is indispensable to the club.
“Whatever Benitez has got, his magic touch, they’ve got to wrap him up in cotton wool… he’s key to everything they do at the football club,” the Arsenal stalwart said at full time.
Here is how some Toon Army faithful responded to Keown’s comments on Twitter:
Up next for Newcastle is Saturday evening’s Premier League trip to East London to face West Ham United.
