Newcastle United have made it a three-horse race to secure the signature of Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.
According to the Daily Star, the Magpies are looking to sign the England international should they seal promotion from the Championship this season, and are prepared to rival Crystal Palace and Stoke City to land him.
Shaw has struggled for game time at Old Trafford this term, playing 15 times in all competitions and often losing out in the starting XI to Daley Blind or Matteo Darmian.
Despite that England manager Gareth Southgate has included the 21-year-old in his latest squad and the full-back is still rated as one of the brightest young talents in the country.

That is why Newcastle are prepared to match the £15m both Palace and Stoke would offer for Shaw, who only has 14 months remaining on his current contract with United after joining the club from Southampton back in 2014 in a £30m deal.
However, their interest would rely entirely on their successful promotion from the Championship, with the Magpies currently top of the table with eight games left to play.
