Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are keen on signing Liverpool and Manchester City transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The CBS Sports journalist has claimed on Twitter that Newcastle have made enquiries about securing the services of Mudryk.
Liverpool and Manchester City are among the clubs keen on signing the winger, who is valued at €60 million (£52.30 million) by his club Shakhtar, according to Jacobs.

Newcastle competing with Liverpool and Manchester City for Mykhailo Mudryk

Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Newcastle United are unlikely to be able to sign Mykhailo Mudryk in the January transfer window or next summer.
There is also speculation that the winger could head to Arsenal.
Liverpool and Manchester City are massive clubs and would be hugely appealing to the Ukraine international winger.
Now, of course, Newcastle are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and have grand plans for the future, but we do not think that Mudryk would move to St. James’ Park if the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal all make offers to him.
